A Loving Memory Birthday Celebration

Today, I celebrate the beautiful life and memory of my daughter, Malayah Sorrae Rivera, who would have been 8 years old.

Though her time here was brief, my heart is forever grateful for the moments we shared. I cherish the baby smell, her wild head of hair, her radiant smile, and even the times she cried or threw up on me because they were ours. I carried her for 42 precious weeks and held her for a couple of months outside the womb, and every moment remains sacred.

Through my grief, Jesus has been my Comforter. He has walked with me through the deepest valleys and given me strength when I felt I had none. Today, I stand with praise in my heart because of His love. We have come so far together, and I know He will continue to carry me.

Malayah, you brought me immeasurable joy, even through my tears. You are so special to me, always and forever.

It is from this place of love, faith, and loss that Mother to Mother was born—a space where women can walk alongside each other through grief, finding comfort, hope, and healing together.
