Welcome to The Promise — where hope has a home, faith lights the way, and every life has a future worth building."
About Us
Our Vision
The Promise Organization is a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth ages 15–25, especially those aging out of foster care or experiencing homelessness. We also serve mothers of all ages through compassionate support and community-building efforts. Based in Lorain County, we serve both Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties through practical support, spiritual guidance, and the development of transitional housing that fosters safety, stability, and hope.
Our vision is to see every young adult and mother equipped with the stability, support, and opportunities they need to thrive, breaking cycles of homelessness and building a future where mental, emotional, and physical well-being are within everyone’s reach.
Our mission is to serve with integrity, compassion, accountability, and faith—building trust, fostering supportive connections, taking responsibility for our actions, and believing in the potential of every individual as we grow together.

Meet Our Founder
Justina Thompson
I am a proud mother of three, a woman of God, and a servant leader. The Promise Organization was born out of my personal journey through homelessness, poverty, and hopelessness—and from a vow I made in my darkest moments:
No More Homelessness! No More Despair! No More Silence!
